Scope
This part of GB/T 32078 provides the performance specifications for self-contained breathing apparatus (EEDB) required by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) International Bulk Chemical Carrier Code (IBC) 14.2.8.2 and the International Gas Carrier Code (IGC) 14.4.2.2 for emergency escape. Breathing apparatus that meet the requirements of this part are not suitable for firefighting, cargo handling, or approaching or entering a fire scene.
