Scope

This part of GB/T 32078 provides the performance specifications for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) (not using stored oxygen) required by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for bulk chemical tankers (IBC) and bulk liquefied gas carriers (IGC). The breathing apparatus manufactured in accordance with this part constitutes a part of a complete safety equipment, which allows personnel to enter and work in gas-filled compartments. The breathing apparatus is not suitable for firefighting or entering a fire scene.
