Scope

This document specifies the method for determining the precious metal content by measuring the content of impurity elements in gold, platinum, and palladium alloy jewelry.
This document is applicable to gold alloy jewelry with a gold content of 725‰~999‰, platinum alloy jewelry with a platinum content of 800‰~999‰, and palladium alloy jewelry with a palladium content of 800‰~999‰.
Note: The measurement range applicable to the precious metal content is within the scope covered by the precision test. It may also be applicable beyond this range, but the laboratory needs to verify the tests beyond the range.
