Scope
This part of GB/T 21198 specifies the method of determining the precious metal content by measuring the content of impurity elements in gold, platinum, and palladium alloy jewelry. This part is applicable to the purity range of gold, platinum, and palladium jewelry specified in GB 11887, where the gold content is 725‰ to 999‰, the platinum content is 800‰ to 999‰, and the palladium content is 800‰ to 999‰. Note: The jewelry may contain elements such as platinum, gold, palladium, silver, copper, nickel, cobalt, iron, zinc, cadmium, ruthenium, rhodium, and iridium.
