Scope

This document describes a consistent and repeatable method for evaluating the stress-deformation characteristics of rollover protection structures (ROPS) for self-propelled forestry machinery under static loads, and specifies the performance requirements of typical test specimens under such loads. This document applies to skidders, forwarders, log stackers, combination machines, combination harvesters, and timber loaders defined in ISO 6814, but does not apply to machinery equipped with cab and boom mounted on a rotating platform (for details on this part, see ISO 8082-2).
Note: The requirements and test procedures in this document are identical to those in ISO 3471.
