Scope

This standard specifies the method for evaluating the suitability of online natural gas analysis systems. The measurement range and uncertainty of component concentrations in the online analysis system, as well as the uncertainty of calculating natural gas physical parameters from measurement results, have been clearly and explicitly defined. At the same time, the calibration procedures of the analysis system have been fully explained.
If the performance evaluation indicates that the system is not suitable, it is advisable to improve it and re-test according to the evaluation test data, such as: analysis requirements, analysis procedures, equipment selection, calibration gas selection, and calibration procedures.
This standard applies to online natural gas analysis systems that provide component concentrations and measurement uncertainties. The selected method may be gas chromatography analysis.
