Scope

This part of GB/T 3286 specifies the determination of alumina content using the chromotropic S spectrophotometry method and the complexometric titration method.
This part is applicable to the determination of alumina content in limestone and dolomite, and also to the determination of alumina content in metallurgical lime. The chromotropic S spectrophotometry method has a determination range of 0.01% to 0.75% by mass fraction of alumina; the complexometric titration method has a determination range of more than 0.5% by mass fraction of alumina.
