GB/T 4662-2012 Rolling bearings—Static load ratings
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the calculation methods for the basic rated static load and equivalent static load of rolling bearings. This standard applies to rolling bearings whose size range meets the requirements of relevant national standards, which are made of commonly used high-quality quenched bearing steel, manufactured using good processing methods, and whose rolling contact surfaces are designed in a conventional manner. This standard does not apply to bearings where the contact area between the rolling elements and the raceway of the bearing ring is significantly truncated due to operating conditions or the internal structure of the bearing. If calculated according to this standard, unsatisfactory results may be obtained. Similarly, this standard does not apply to situations where the load in the bearing deviates from normal distribution due to operating conditions, such as tilting, pre-tightening, excessive clearance, surface treatment or coating. If such situations occur, users should consult with the bearing manufacturer on how to calculate the equivalent static load. This standard also does not apply to structures where the rolling elements operate directly on the surface of the shaft or bearing housing, unless these surfaces are comparable in all aspects to the raceway surfaces of the bearing rings they replace. For double-row centric bearings and bidirectional thrust bearings, if referencing this standard, it should be assumed that their structures are symmetrical. In addition, this standard also applies to the determination of the static safety factor under heavy load conditions.
