GB/T 4662-2025 Rolling bearings—Static load ratings
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the calculation method for the basic rated static load and equivalent static load of rolling bearings.
This document is applicable to rolling bearings that meet the relevant standard requirements in terms of size, are made of commonly used high-quality hardened bearing steel, are manufactured using good processing methods, and have a rolling contact surface with a generally conventional design.
This document is also applicable to the determination of the static safety factor in heavy-load applications.
This document is not applicable to bearings where the contact area between the rolling elements and the raceway is significantly truncated due to operating conditions or the internal structure of the bearing. If calculated according to this document, unsatisfactory results may be obtained.
This document is also not applicable to situations where the load in the bearing deviates from the normal distribution due to operating conditions, such as misalignment, pre-tightening or excessive clearance, or surface treatment or coating. If such situations occur, users are advised to consult with the bearing manufacturer on how to calculate the equivalent static load.
This document is also not applicable to structures where the rolling elements operate directly on the surface of the shaft or bearing housing, unless this surface is comparable in all aspects to the bearing surface it replaces.
Note 1: The double-row centric bearings and double-row thrust bearings in this document are all assumed to have a symmetrical structure.
Note 2: When considering an angular contact ball bearing with a nominal contact angle of 45° as a centric bearing or a thrust bearing, there is a discontinuity in the calculation of the axial rated static load. The method and explanation for correcting the axial basic rated static load are provided in Appendix A.
