GB 55021-2021 Standard for seismic appraisal of buildings

Scope

1.0.1 In order to ensure the quality and safety of existing buildings, guarantee the safety of people's lives and property, and prevent and reduce engineering accidents in the reinforcement, transformation, and renovation of existing buildings, and improve the safety level of existing buildings, these regulations are formulated. 1.0.2 The inspection, appraisal, and reinforcement of existing buildings must comply with these regulations. 1.0.3 The appraisal and reinforcement of existing buildings shall follow the principle of first conducting inspections and appraisals, and then designing, constructing, and accepting the reinforcement works.
