Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of potassium magnesium sulfate fertilizer. This standard applies to potassium magnesium sulfate fertilizer products containing magnesium and sulfur and other trace elements, which are made solely by physical extraction from brine in salt lakes or from solid potassium magnesium salt mines, or by directly removing impurities. This standard does not apply to products made by mixing potassium sulfate and magnesium compounds.
