Scope

This document specifies the default method for measuring the performance changes of the hull and propellers and calculating a set of basic performance indicators, while providing guidance on the expected accuracy of each performance indicator.
This document is applicable to all types of ships powered by traditional fixed-pitch propellers, and its purpose is to compare the changes in the performance of the hull and propellers of the same ship over time.
Note: Whether other configurations (such as variable-pitch propellers) are supported will be revised in future standards as needed.
