Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the energy absorption of metal materials in the Charpy impact test (V-type and U-type notch specimens). This standard does not include the instrumented impact test method, which is specified in GB/T 19748-2005 "Instrumented Charpy Impact Test Method for Metal Materials".
