Scope

This standard specifies the structure, technical requirements, and test methods for hydraulic fertilizer and pesticide injection pumps (hereinafter referred to as hydraulic injection pumps). These hydraulic injection pumps are used to inject fertilizers and pesticides into irrigation systems. Fertilizers and pesticides include liquid fertilizers, fertilizer solutions, and soluble pesticides such as acids, insecticides, and herbicides.
This standard applies to hydraulic injection pumps operating in water with temperatures not exceeding 50°C and containing fertilizers and pesticides of the types and concentrations commonly used in irrigation systems.
This standard does not apply to backflow prevention devices, nor does it apply to Venturi-type hydraulic devices used for injecting fertilizers and pesticides into irrigation systems.
