Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and labeling, packaging, transportation, storage, and ordering and supply of various types of industrial fuel heating devices (hereinafter referred to as fuel heating devices).
This document is applicable to fuel heating devices that use solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels for heating, melting, heat treatment, physical and chemical reactions, and other industrial purposes.
Note: This includes gas heating furnaces for steel refining and forging, such as refining furnaces, rolling mill heating furnaces, and well-type, car-type, push-rod-type, step-type, hood-type, mesh-belt-type, vibrating-bottom-type, and batch-bottom-type heat treatment furnaces for quenching, annealing, normalizing, tempering, aging, carburizing, nitriding, and insulation furnaces, as well as other forms and uses of fuel heating furnaces and kilns, such as ceramic kilns, tunnel kilns, push-plate kilns, roller-bottom kilns, hood-type kilns, cement kilns, rotary kilns, exhaust furnaces, diffusion furnaces, epitaxy furnaces, single-crystal furnaces, roasting furnaces, drying furnaces, sintering furnaces, brazing furnaces, and incineration furnaces.
This document is not applicable to household and similar-purpose fuel heating appliances, heating facilities, baking equipment, and industrial boilers used for producing steam, hot water, or other working fluids at specified temperatures and pressures and with specified quality requirements.
