GB/T 23801-2021 Determination of fatty acid methyl ester(FAME) content in middle distillates—Infrared spectrometry
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the method of determining the volume fraction of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) in middle distillate oil by infrared spectroscopy.
This document is applicable to the determination of FAME samples that meet the requirements of Appendix C of GB 25199—2017. It is suitable for determining the volume fraction of FAME in middle distillate oil samples ranging from 0.05% to 50%. For samples with a FAME volume fraction exceeding 50%, the method can also be used after dilution, but its precision has not been evaluated. If the sample contains interfering components such as esters and carbonyl compounds, the measurement results may be overestimated.
Note: If the mass concentration (g/L) is converted to a volume fraction, the density of FAME is set to a fixed value of 883.0 kg/m3.
