Scope

This part of GB/T 24667 specifies the safety requirements and assessment methods for the design and manufacture of power transmission moving parts protective devices on self-propelled, suspended, semi-suspended, and traction agricultural machinery that do not require tools to open. This part also stipulates the types of safety operation information (including residual risks) that manufacturers should provide.
The major hazards (listed in Appendix A), dangerous states, and dangerous events covered by this part are related to the use of power transmission moving parts protective devices under the conditions intended and anticipated by manufacturers (see Chapters 4 and 5).
This part does not apply to power transmission moving parts protective devices on tractors, aircraft, hovercraft, and lawn and garden equipment.
