Scope

This part of GB/T 24667 specifies the safety requirements and determination methods for the design and manufacture of power transmission moving parts protective devices in self-propelled, suspended, semi-suspended, and traction agricultural machinery that can only be opened with tools. This part also specifies the types of safety operation information (including residual risks) that manufacturers should provide.
The major hazards (listed in Appendix A), dangerous states, and dangerous events covered by this part are related to the use of power transmission moving parts protective devices under the conditions intended and anticipated by the manufacturer (see Chapters 4 and 5).
This part does not apply to power transmission moving parts protective devices for tractors, aircraft, hovercraft vehicles, and lawn and garden equipment.
