Scope

This document describes the method for determining the oxidation stability of animal and vegetable oils under extreme conditions of high temperature and high airflow.
This document is suitable for determining the oxidation stability of unrefined and refined animal and vegetable oils, but not for determining the oxidation stability of milk and dairy products (or fats derived from milk and dairy products).
This document is not suitable for determining the oxidation stability of animal and vegetable oils at room temperature, but it can be used to compare the effects of adding antioxidants to animal and vegetable oils.
Note: The presence of volatile fatty acids and volatile acid oxidation products can affect the accuracy of the measurement results.
