Scope

In the low-voltage switchgear and controlgear IEC 61439 (all parts), it contains system and application details specified by the regulator, so that manufacturers can produce switchgear that meets the regulator's needs and expectations.
This document points out from the regulator's perspective the functions and characteristics that should be defined when specifying switchgear. These include:
——An explanation of the characteristics and options of switchgear in IEC 61439 (all parts);
——Guidelines on how to select appropriate options and define characteristics to meet the needs of specific applications; and
——Assistance in explaining switchgear.
The interface characteristics of the switchgear mentioned in this document and the requirements it follows assume that the switchgear has been designed, manufactured, and verified in accordance with the relevant parts of GB/T 7251.
