Scope

This document specifies the performance test methods for fuel cell power generation systems used in electrically driven industrial vehicles. This document is applicable to fuel cell power generation systems for electrically driven industrial vehicles that use gaseous hydrogen or direct methanol as fuel, such as material handling equipment, forklifts, etc. This document is applicable to DC-type fuel cell power generation systems with a rated output voltage not exceeding 150 V for indoor and outdoor use. This document is applicable to the fuel cell power generation systems defined in Figure 3.7 and Figure 1. This document is not applicable to fuel cell power generation systems equipped with reforming devices, hybrid vehicles with internal combustion engines, and fuel cell power generation systems used in potentially explosive environments. The fuel cell power generation systems covered by this document have fuel source containers permanently connected to industrial vehicles or fuel cell power generation systems. The use of removable fuel source containers is not permitted. Index number explanation: The fuel cell power generation system includes subsystems, which are defined as conceptual or functional units, rather than hardware such as power supply packages. Subsystems include fuel cell modules, fuel processors, etc. The configuration of the subsystems depends on the type of fuel, the fuel cell, or the type of system.
