Scope

This standard specifies the types and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, nameplates, and packaging of general steam reciprocating pumps and steam reciprocating hot oil pumps.
This standard applies to general steam reciprocating pumps used for transporting clean water with a temperature not exceeding 130 °C, petroleum products with a kinematic viscosity not exceeding 850 mm2/s, and other liquids with similar chemical properties; it also applies to steam reciprocating hot oil pumps used for transporting petroleum products with a temperature not exceeding 450 °C. Liquefied gas pumps with a transporting temperature not lower than -40 °C can refer to this standard for use.
Note: In the main text of this standard, the abbreviation "pump" refers to the combined abbreviation of general steam reciprocating pumps and steam reciprocating hot oil pumps.
