Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, structural types and parameters, requirements, materials, inspection methods, inspection rules, and markings, packaging, transportation, and storage of safety valves for electric water heaters (hereinafter referred to as "safety valves"). This standard applies to safety valves installed on the water inlet pipelines of electric water heaters, with a set pressure range of 0.025 MPa to 1.0 MPa. The safe discharge pressure of the safety valves is 0.6 MPa to 0.9 MPa for closed-type valves, and 0.15 MPa to 0.35 MPa for open-type valves. The medium temperature should not exceed 95℃.
