Scope

This document specifies the method of determining the silica content by the dehydration weight method using perchloric acid. This document is applicable to the determination of silica content in calcium-based desulfurizers used for the pretreatment of molten steel. The measurement range (mass fraction) is 2.0% to 8.0%.
