Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the bromine value of petroleum fractions and industrial aliphatic olefins by potentiometric titration.
This standard is applicable to the determination of bromine value of the following samples:
a) Petroleum fractions with a 90% distillation temperature (determined by GB/T 6536) below 327 ℃ and without components lighter than isobutane, such as: gasoline (including leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline, and fuels containing oxides), kerosene, and all fractional oils meeting the conditions of Table 1;
