Scope

This section specifies a spectrophotometric method for determining the iron and copper content in industrial acrylonitrile. This section is applicable to the determination of iron and copper content in industrial acrylonitrile samples with an iron content greater than 0.05 mg/kg and a copper content ranging from 0 to 1 mg/kg. When the iron content exceeds 100 times the copper content, the determination of copper will be interfered with.
