Scope

This part of GB 22720 specifies the evaluation standards for the insulation structure of the stator/rotor windings of single-phase or multi-phase AC motors powered by pulse width modulation (PWM) inverters that generate repetitive impulse voltages and subjected to partial discharge during operation.
This part is applicable to the identification and approval tests of typical samples powered by voltage-type inverters.
This part is not applicable to:
——Rotating motors that only use inverters during startup;
——Traction electrical equipment and structures.
