Scope
This standard specifies the indicators and evaluation methods for the evaluation of nucleic acid extraction and purification methods. This standard is applicable to the general evaluation of nucleic acid (genomic DNA and total RNA) extraction and purification methods for routine samples (fresh samples) in molecular biology laboratories. This standard is not applicable to the extraction of viral nucleic acids, the extraction of free DNA, the evaluation of extraction methods for aged samples, trace samples, and highly degraded samples, nor to the evaluation of nucleic acid extraction methods that add exogenous DNA or RNA to improve extraction efficiency during the extraction process.
