Scope
This standard specifies the method of determining the combustion performance of foam plastics using the horizontal combustion method. This standard is applicable to the evaluation, under laboratory conditions, of the horizontal combustion performance of small foam plastic samples with a density of less than 250 kg/m3, as measured according to ISO 845:1985, when subjected to a small flame. This standard is not intended to be used as a basis for assessing the fire hazard under actual operating conditions.
