Scope
This document specifies the principles for setting and calculating the protection settings for converters, pole protection, bipolar protection, DC line protection, DC filter protection, converter transformers, AC filters, and bus protection in high-voltage DC transmission systems. This document is applicable to the setting and adjustment of control and protection parameters for high-voltage DC transmission systems that use single-pulse converters or double-pulse converters connected in series with phase-shifting converters in a 12-pulse grid.
