Scope

This procedure applies to the initial verification, subsequent verification, and in-use inspection of electricity metering verification units for AC energy meters with a reference frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz, as well as automated testing systems for AC energy meters with a class 0.05 or lower.
The metrological performance, general technical requirements, and control requirements for AC energy meter verification devices described in this procedure are applicable to the electricity metering verification units of AC energy meter automated testing systems.
