Scope

This part of GB/T 1094 specifies the terms and definitions, conditions of use, rated values, and general requirements for inflatable power transformers. It also covers the requirements for transformers with tap-changer windings, connection and connection group markings, nameplates, safety, environmental, and other requirements, deviations, testing, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), high-frequency transient operations, grounding terminals, and information required for inquiries and orders.
This part applies to three-phase and single-phase inflatable power transformers (including autotransformers), but excludes certain small and special transformers, such as:
——Single-phase transformers with a rated capacity of less than 1 kVA and three-phase transformers with a rated capacity of 5 kVA;
——Transformers with all windings rated at voltages not exceeding 1,000 V;
——Mutual inductors;
——Electric locomotive traction transformers;
——Starting transformers;
——Test transformers;
——Welding transformers.
When certain types of transformers (especially all industrial special transformers with windings rated at voltages not exceeding 1,000 V) do not have corresponding standards, this part can be applied in whole or in part. This part does not address the requirements for transformers installed in public places. For transformers and reactors with relevant standards, this part only applies to the scope of content explicitly referenced for mutual reference in their product standards. These products (standards) include:
——Reactors (GB/T 1094.6);
——Self-protective transformers (IEC 60076-13);
——Wind power generation transformers (GB/T 1094.16);
——Traction transformers and traction reactors (GB/T 25120);
——Industrial converter transformers (GB/T 18494.1);
——HVDC converter transformers (GB/T 18494.2).
