Scope
This procedure applies to the initial verification, subsequent verification, and in-use inspection of fixed α and β personal surface contamination monitoring devices.
This procedure does not apply to portable α and β surface contamination meters and monitors, as well as the verification of instruments used for measuring or monitoring β particles with a maximum energy of less than 60 keV.
