GB/T 38698的本部分规定了车用退役动力电池回收利用包装运输的术语和定义、分类要求、一般要求、包装要求、运输要求以及标志要求。
本部分适用于电动汽车退役锂离子动力蓄电池包、模组、单体的包装和道路运输，其他类型车用动力蓄电池及其他运输方式(如铁路运输、水路运输等)可参照执行。
本部分不适用于铅酸蓄电池。
