Scope

This document specifies the general safety requirements for the design and manufacture of narrow-track and small tractors in agriculture and forestry, as well as their testing and verification methods. It also outlines the type of safety operation information provided by manufacturers, including residual risks, and technical measures to enhance the personal safety of operators and other workers during the normal operation, use, and maintenance of tractors. This document applies to wheeled or tracked tractors with at least two axles and a fixed wheelbase (track width) or adjustable wheelbase (track width) of no more than 1,150 mm, as well as small tractors with a minimum operating weight of no more than 600 kg. This document does not include requirements for tractor vibration and braking.
