Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation, and storage of tempered glass for building doors, windows, and curtain walls.
This standard is applicable to tempered glass with a thickness of 4 mm to 19 mm for building doors, windows, and glass curtain walls, and can also be used for tempered glass in skylights and canopies.
This standard does not apply to fire-resistant glass.
