Scope

This part of GB/T 2679 specifies the method for determining the transparency of paper using the diffuse reflection method.
This part is applicable to semi-transparent paper that is white or close to white. When measuring paper containing fluorescent whitening agents, use an ultraviolet cutoff filter to eliminate the excitation of fluorescence.
Note: Although GB/T 7973 allows the use of filter-type reflectance photometers and simple spectroscopic reflectance photometers, if the filter-type reflectance photometer cannot eliminate the excitation of fluorescence, it is not suitable for testing the transparency of paper containing fluorescent whitening agents.
