Scope

This document specifies a reference framework for the concepts and principles of enterprise architecture, guiding enterprise development, enterprise integration, enterprise interoperability, human understanding, and computer processing.
This document further specifies the requirements for the models and languages created to express this enterprise architecture.
This document defines the necessary terminology, concepts, and principles of enterprise architecture to address stakeholder concerns and implement enterprise creation plans, as well as all incremental change projects required throughout the enterprise's lifecycle. This document serves as the foundation for creating or adjusting enterprise architecture and modeling standards. This document does not define standard enterprises, standard organizational structures, standard enterprise processes, or standard enterprise data. Additionally, this document does not specify the enterprise modeling process.
