Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test conditions, and test methods for ultrasound elasticity measurement devices based on external vibration of liver tissue (hereinafter referred to as the device).
This standard applies to devices that stimulate shear waves in liver tissue by applying low-frequency vibration and measure the elasticity of liver tissue using ultrasound pulse echo methods.
Note: The ultrasound elasticity measurement technology based on external vibration applicable to this standard corresponds to the transient elasticity map in the classification of ultrasound elasticity imaging technology. For the classification of ultrasound elasticity imaging technology, please refer to Appendix A.
