Scope
This standard specifies the types, basic parameters and dimensions, structures, materials, and testing requirements and inspection procedures for explosion-proof lamp sockets specifically designed for use with explosion-proof lamps.
Note: The inspection procedures are described in Appendix A.
This standard applies to explosion-proof lamp sockets specifically designed for use with intrinsically safe and non-sparking explosion-proof lamps (hereinafter referred to as "lamp sockets") in explosive environments.
