Scope

This standard specifies the measurement methods for the dielectric loss factor and its increment of motor coils/windings. This standard is applicable to stator molded coils/windings of rotating motors with different rated voltage levels, such as motors with a rated voltage level of 6 kV and above. It is also applicable to the measurement of the dielectric loss factor and its increment of single stator coils inside and outside the core (i.e., before and after winding) and stator windings. This standard is applicable to coils/windings that have completed insulation curing, but not to uncured coils and windings.
