Scope

This document describes the testing and evaluation methods for the energy consumption (specific energy consumption and standby power) of rubber and plastic injection molding machines. This document is applicable to rubber injection molding machines with electric heating of the hot plate, single-screw plunger type, and single injection units; and to thermoplastic injection molding machines with single injection units, single screws (or single screw plunger type), electrically heated barrels, and processable polypropylene (PP) granules (hereinafter referred to as "injection molding machines"). Other injection molding machines can refer to this document for implementation.
