Scope

This standard specifies the methods for monitoring mosquito density, including the mosquito trap method, the carbon dioxide mosquito trap method, the BG-Trap method, the egg-laying female mosquito collection method, the human-induced landing method, the handheld mosquito sampler method, the net swinging method, the animal collection method, the resting mosquito capture method, the tent-induced method, the black box method, the larvae pipette method, the larvae spoon capture method, the path method, the mosquito egg trap method, and the egg collection cup method.
This standard is applicable to mosquito density monitoring. Among them, the mosquito trap method, the carbon dioxide mosquito trap method, the BG-Trap method, the egg-laying female mosquito collection method, the human-induced landing method, the handheld mosquito sampler method, the net swinging method, and the animal collection method are suitable for monitoring adult mosquitoes; the larvae pipette method, the larvae spoon capture method, and the path method are suitable for monitoring larvae or pupae; the mosquito egg trap method is suitable for monitoring adult mosquitoes and eggs; and the egg collection cup method is suitable for monitoring eggs.
