GB/T 23797-2009 Surveillance methods for vector density—Mosquito

Scope

This standard specifies the methods for monitoring mosquito density, including the mosquito trap method, the CO2 trap method, the egg-laying female mosquito collection method, the human landing trap method, the animal collection method, the resting mosquito capture method, the net swinging method, the tent trap method, the black box method, the larvae pipette method, the larvae scoop capture method, the path index method, and the egg trap method.
This standard is applicable to mosquito density monitoring. Among them, the mosquito trap method, the CO2 trap method, the egg-laying female mosquito collection method, the human landing trap method, the animal collection method, and the resting mosquito capture method are suitable for monitoring adult mosquitoes; the larvae pipette method, the larvae scoop capture method, and the path index method are suitable for monitoring larvae or pupae; and the egg trap method is suitable for monitoring adult mosquitoes and eggs. The appropriate monitoring method should be selected according to the purpose of the monitoring.
