GB/T 13288.5-2009 Preparation of steel substrates before application of paints and related products—Surface roughness characteristics of blast-cleaned steel substrates—Part 5:Replica tape method for the determination of the surface profile
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 13288 specifies the on-site measurement method for the surface roughness of steel after cleaning by abrasive blasting according to the method given in ISO 8504-2. This method uses replica tapes and their accompanying measuring instruments to measure the surface roughness before painting on-site.
This part is applicable to the determination of the roughness within a corresponding range given by the replica tapes of a specified specification (or thickness). At present, the range of roughness that can be measured by commercially available replica tapes of various specifications is an average peak-valley height of 20 μm to 115 μm. This part is applicable to the measurement of the surface roughness after cleaning by abrasive blasting of metals or non-metals.
