This document specifies the test equipment, test preparation, test steps, result processing, friction coefficient classification, and friction coefficient level marking for the test bench test method of evaluating the friction performance of automotive brake pads. This document is applicable to automotive disc brake pads and automotive drum brake pads (hereinafter referred to as "pads"). This document is not applicable to parking brake pads.
