This standard specifies the small bench test procedure for the friction and wear performance of automotive brake linings (hereinafter referred to as "linings") and the friction coefficient levels and markings.
This standard applies to disc brake linings and drum brake linings for automobiles.
This standard does not apply to parking brake linings.
