Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product models, usage conditions, nameplates, performance parameters, technical requirements, testing, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for the main bodies of graded controllable shunt reactors. The basic parameters of neutral point reactors are given in Appendix A.
This standard applies to the main bodies of single-phase graded controllable shunt reactors used in power systems with voltage levels of 500 kV and 750 kV. The main bodies of shunt reactors with other voltage levels and three-phase graded controllable shunt reactors can refer to this standard for use.
