GB 2536-2025 Fluids for electrotechnical applications—Unused mineral insulating oils for transformers and switchgear
Basic Information
Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions of unused mineral insulating oil containing and not containing additives, which is obtained by refining petroleum fractions as raw materials. It stipulates the classification and marking, requirements and test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage. This document is applicable to mineral insulating oil used in transformers, switches, and similar electrical equipment that require oil as an insulating and heat transfer medium. Generator oil should refer to this document. This document is not applicable to recycled mineral insulating oil. This document is not applicable to mineral insulating oil used as an impregnating agent in cables or capacitors. Note: Oils of the same category and not containing any additives (see 3.4) that meet the requirements of this document are considered compatible and can be mixed in any proportion. This does not necessarily apply to oils containing additives. When users wish to mix oils containing additives, they should first conduct tests to ensure that the mixture meets the requirements of this document.
