Scope
This section applies to composite insulators used in AC overhead power lines with a nominal voltage of more than 1000V and a frequency of 50Hz, as well as power plants and substations (hereinafter referred to as "composite insulators"). The installation site is located at an altitude of less than 1000m, with an ambient temperature ranging from -40°C to +40°C. This section includes requirements for selecting composite insulators based on specific operating conditions.
